WELCOME TO A WORLD WITHOUT RULES

Just so you know I have gone SEMI-EXCLUSIVE for my own sanity. This means that if you follow me, please be aware when I mean semi-exclusive this does not pertain to any Batman/DC muses. If you are from a smaller fandom, and we have threaded enough to where I feel comfortable that you won't bail/flake out then I would love nothing more then to discuss exclusivity with you. Once again: Yes, I am SEMI-EXCLUSIVE, but I do ask that if you follow and you intend to be exclusive with me, that I am the only Nolanverse Joker in your life. Please note that all Batman/Nolanverse characters are exempt from this rule, but I implore that you please do not collect up fifty + versions of my character with intentions of writing with me.
This has been a collective issue in the past and I am not keen on repeating it. It put strain on myself as well as the muse ( if you can actually believe that ) In other words, he is simply not a rare Pokemon card for your collection. I won't have him sit like a veal in a booth.
I won't have him gather dust while he watches his dash and cannot have interactions he is lacking/or needs.I promise I will strive to meet your expectations ( within muse’s reason )on your end of whatever agreement we have breached, and I will try my best not to disappoint.I generally will write with any fandom but if I can’t see a scenario where I feel that Joker would fit into your universe, I will politely decline your offer of roleplay.

I adapt to how you write, but I like to use icons or gifcons in my replies because it gives my replies a neater and cleaner appearance. I try to format to the best of my abilities but it does become time consuming. You will sparingly see standard size gifs on this blog unless they are being used for ask inquries or crack!replies.

Sorry but I don’t RP in asks. Joker will respond to them onceand if I feel the interaction will more than likely continue I will make a separate thread, copy and paste the original reply in a new post then tag you with the @ marker. If you consistently pester me in the ask box with RP (unless you are mobile) I will ignore you.

I will never roleplay on pictures.

Please do not send me starters using submit because you are just wasting your time and mine because they will go ignored. I also do not prefer to be randomly tagged in long-essay type paras upon no prior introduction of your character, who you are, or without even bothering with so much as a ‘hi how are you?’ I DON’T BITE. REALLY.Please feel free to tag me in one-liners I can easily work with those.
However, it really is always best to come to me prior, and discuss a roleplay if you are interested. This method always works the best for both parties. Uh.. usually.

Please refrain from cliche!alleyway starters. They will go ignored. Consult with me first and we can think up a plot together. Joker is very unlikely to hang around in an alleyway. Yes, he is garbage, but he is not Oscar The Grouch.

I RARELY make greeting posts. They tend to get repetitive and dropped easily. Occasionally I will do starter calls and post them for mutuals or for tag them for everyone, but most of the time I prefer if those who have followed, please inbox message me for a thread. Also I really like to expand on layers and multi-layer dimensional depth with this character and I feel just throwing out something vague takes everything away when you are writing the complexities of Ledger’s Joker.

I do prefer skype over inbox messages or the im feature, since asks they are eaten frequently and not as reliable, but if you need to send me something, please use the im if we are mutuals.

It takes anywhere from two hours to two months for me to reply. It depends on the length of the thread, the content, who is starting and how willing the muse is to cooperate with me on that particular storyline. But above all, please remember to be patient. And on the subject of starting? I am horrible when it comes to writing starters: I will be up front about that. If you get a starter from me chances are it will be bordering on the edges of a dinky paragraph or I will write you The Dark Tower Series.

Do not take offense if I suddenly drop a thread with you nine times out of ten it is miscommunication as the tumblr activity bar can be sketchy. If I have missed your reply, chances are that the activity bar did screw up somewhere so just give me a friendly nudge using the IM feature, but please do not spam me. Thanks!

THE JOKER

Because this is a premodominately Nolanverse portrayal, Joker will act as though he simply does not know you ie: Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake, most of the Batfam, unless you have made alterations to your character with a faceclaim and they are set in the Nolanverse or you have spoken with me beforehand about a plot, however, I am flexible and willing to work with you as I can alter the timeline and create a new universe with you.But the faceclaim remains the same. This will never change. I use faceless icons for live!action interactions in my comicverse. Azzarello’s Joker is my comic joker of choice, because I enjoy his aesthetic. However, I do prefer to use Heath Ledger if I can get away with it.

I RARELY interact with OC Children claiming to belong to The Joker or Harley/Harleen Quinzel. Please come and speak to me about this before we begin a thread.PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE READ THROUGH JOKER’S PROFILE INFORMATION AND HIS HEADCANONS EXTENSIVELY BEFORE INTERACTING WITH THIS BLOG. SHIPPING

WARNING THIS MUSE IS HARD TO SHIP WITH. Even though this is a selective multi-ship/multi-verse blog, I would ask that all verses remain separate from one another. I do not intend to have hundreds of ships on this blog nor is Joker here to fulfill your clown on your fangirl fantasy. I am more interested in focusing on building extensive character development which is detrimental to Joker’s arcs and storyline. I also would like to add, that Joker is a very difficult muse to ship with. I cannot stress this enough. I warn you all. He is not loving nor affectionate. He is abrasive, rough around the edges, and prone to mood swings that vary constantly and he can and will become violent, sometimes borderline abusive. And I will not be altering his personality to fit the desired ship discussed at length. I will also not hold him back if he feels threatened, becomes irritable or he just simply does not like you.

Special note concerning Harleys: Because this has become such a problem with this muse in the past I feel I should address now, that Joker does not take kindly to Harley’s whom he does not know. If your muse assumes they are together ( without discussing a plot beforehand with myself ) He will become volatile and easy to anger. Please do not put me on autoblast if he suddenly treats your Harley well.. unkind. He is not exactly Harley thirsty. He is more or so bloodthirsty is the best way I can describe the muse. This does not mean the two MAD CLOWNS will work together but you must come to me and discuss a storyline first. That is always the best alternative, otherwise he will and I guarantee, not treat her civilly right off the bat.

MATURE CONTENT

I am 21+ and so is the Joker. I have a few guidelines for engaging in smut on this blog. I am not incredibly comfortable with writing it, I prefer not to write it, and if you see me writing it, chances are it’s someone I know personally.

Due to all replies disappearing when replies are tossed under a read more I do give a heads up if it is a smut reply of some kind. If the violence and abuse is too graphic for you, I suggest you don’t follow this blog. This will never change.
